CITY OF GEM LAKE, MN City Hall - 4200 Otter Lake Road Gem Lake, MN 55110-3763 Minutes of Gem Lake City Council Meeting 15 December 2009 The regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Gem Lake was called to order by Mayor Uzpen on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at 7:00 pm in the. Gem Lake City Hall meeting room. The following members were present: Mayor Robert Uzpen, Cauncilmernbers Gretchen Artig-Swomley, Thomas Rasmussen, and James Lindner: Councilmember Charles Watson was not present. Other members of the public attended per the sign in sheet sent around the room. APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND MEETING MINUTES City Council Agenda: Mayor Uzpen called for additions, deletions and corrections to the agenda. No corrections were made. Upon motion by Councilmember Lindner, and seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, the agenda was approved for December 15, 2009. Ayes 4, Nays— 0. City Council November Meeting Minutes: The November 17, 2009 minutes were presented and corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, and seconded by Councilmember Rasmussen, the minutes of November 17, 2009 were accepted with corrections being made. Ayes — 4, Nays — 0. Planning Commission October Meeting Minutes: The October 6, 2009 rninutes were presented and corrections were needed. Upon motion by Councilmember Rasmussen and seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, the October 6, 2009 minutes were accepted with corrections being made. Ayes - 4, Nays — 0. OLD BUSINESS City Newsletter — December 2009: Councilmember Artig-Swomley feels we need to print a December and January newsletter versus having a combined January newsletter. The front page will consist of articles on the new single sort recycling and how to notify Jean if any resident will be gone for the winter season. Also mentioned was an article on the straightening of Highway 61 in the early 1900's. Once again letting the residents know that they can get the Look for us on the World Wide Web atgemlakemn.org
