<br />City of Gem Lake City Council meeting minutes, April 21, 2015 Page 1 <br /> <br />City of Gem Lake City Council Meeting Minutes <br />Tuesday, April 21, 2015, 7:00 p.m. <br />Gem Lake City Hall, 4200 Otter Lake Road, Gem Lake, Minnesota <br /> <br />Mayor Uzpen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Councilmembers Artig-Swomley, Bosak, Kuny and <br />Lindner were present. Others in attendance: Justin Gese, S.E.H.; Todd Hagen, Ehlers; Tom Kelly, City <br />Finance; Graham Corwin, Victoria Johnson and Carol Schacht, students and resident. <br /> <br />April 21, 2015, Agenda <br /> <br />Upon motion by the Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, the Agenda <br />was approved by 5-0 vote. <br /> <br />Minutes March 17, 2015 <br /> <br />Upon motion by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Lindner the minutes were <br />approved with one change on page 1, March 17, 2015, Agenda, was seconded by Councilmember Bosak. <br />Motion passed. <br /> <br />Committee Reports <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Old Business <br /> <br />Newsletter Update <br /> <br />Possible articles about the library opening, resident clean up Deanna Tangwell, Arcand, new resident <br />interview, water timeline for businesses, fire escrow resolution, MS4. Councilmember Kuny asked about <br />formatting the newsletter for ease of reading on IPhone. <br /> <br />Public Hearing – Hansen Investment LLC renewal of gardening permit (Tom Hansen) <br /> <br />The public hearing was opened at 7:17 p.m. The hearing was closed at 7:18 p.m. No comments were <br />received during the hearing. Attorney Kelly has asked the property owners to post a no hunting sign <br />which has yet to take place, gunshots have been heard in the area in the fall. This is a safety concern for <br />the city. A motion was made by Councilmember Artig-Swomley, seconded by Councilmember Bosak to <br />grant the renewal of the permit. A vote was taken, four yes votes, Councilmember Kuny abstained due <br />to possible conflict of interest. Motion passed. <br /> <br />New Business <br /> <br />Fire Escrow Resolution 2015-02 <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Lindner, seconded by Councilmember Artig-Swomley to continue <br />discussions on the Fire Escrow Resolution that began at the March 17, 2015, City Council meet and was <br />tabled to the April meeting.
