FORTY - FIRST MEETING - VILLAGE OF GEM LAKE COYhCIL <br />JANUAR.Y 15th 1963 - HOFFMANS CONNERS HALL <br />L, In the absence of Mayor Henry L. Hoffman, the Council elected <br />Alan R. Hansen, acting Mayor - moved by Morgan seconded by Grey. <br />1. Auting Mayor Hansen called the meeting to order at 8:00 PM <br />2. The Clerk called the roll - <br />Present - Hansen, Grey, Morgan and Dave Hoffman. <br />Absent - H. Hoffman and R. Arcand. <br />3. Presentations from the floor - none. <br />4. Reports of Committees - Morgan reported that Bemis chairman of <br />the Planning Committee hoped that the Zoning Regulations could <br />be passed at the February Council meeting. The Clerk was instruct- <br />ed to rut a notice in the paper and advise all residents that <br />the final hearing would take place at the council meeting on <br />February 19th, 1963 <br />5. ( Moved by Grey and seconded by Morgan that reading of the <br />minutes of the previous meeting; held December llth be dispensed <br />with ) all ayes. <br />6. Unfinished business - none <br />7. New Business - <br />Moved by Grey and seconded by Morgan that the following be <br />appointed he,,lth officers for the year 1963 - Dr. Robert W. Reif, <br />Henry L. Hoffman and Dave Hoffman. All ayes. <br />Moved by Morgan and seconded by Grey that the White Bear Fress be <br />the official newspaper and that the White Bear State Bank be the <br />official bakk. All ayes. <br />Moved by Hansen and seconded by Grey that the compensation of <br />Mayor Hoffman and Clerk Morgan be increased to 25,00 (dollars) <br />per monthpayable for the period ending March 31st 1963. All ayes. <br />Moved by Grey and seconded by Norgan that cigarette licenses be <br />., issued to Fred Roth 9 Hoffmans Food Market, Burlap Lounge, and <br />Ell's D*X Station. a]1 ayes. <br />8.Reports of Village officers - <br />a. The clerk reported income and expenses for the last three <br />years as rquired by the book. <br />b.
