CITY OF GEM LAKE, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017 - 03 <br />RESOLUTION CALLING PUBLIC HEARING ON A PROPOSED <br />PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT <br />BE IT RESOLVED By the City Council of the City of Gem Lake, Ramsey County, Minnesota <br />(the "City"), as follows: <br />1. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Sections 469.1812 through 469.1815, as amended (the <br />"Act"), the City may grant an abatement of all or a part of the taxes levied by the City on real property <br />within its boundaries (the "Abatement") and issue general obligation bonds to finance the acquisition of <br />land to be used as a public park (the "Abatement Bonds"); provided, however, that the City Council first <br />holds a public hearing regarding the proposed Abatement. <br />2. The City proposes to issue Abatement Bonds to finance the costs of acquiring land to be <br />used as a public park within the City. <br />3. In accordance with the Act, the City Council hereby calls for a public hearing on Tuesday, <br />June 20, 2017, at 7:00 PM, to consider the proposed Abatement for the purposes described herein. <br />4. The City EA dmA;Q4r--4 -Clerk is authorized and directed to publish a notice of public <br />hearing in substantially the form set forth in EXHIBIT A attached hereto in a newspaper of general <br />circulation in the City more than 10 but less than 30 days before the date of the public hearing. <br />5.
