456 Lake Association Liaison Updates <br />457 Member Miller advised that he had made contact with representatives of the Lake Owasso Homeowners <br />458 Association. <br />459 <br />460 Member Von De Linde advised that she had made contact with a representative of the Lake Wabasso <br />461 Association, and provided workshop information; but noted they were not interested in any additional <br />462 events during the summer months, but would be interested in activities during other months of the year. <br />463 <br />464 Member Westerberg advised that he continued to attempt contact with a representative the Snail Lake <br />465 Improvement District; however, to -date he had received no response to his calls. <br />466 <br />467 2012 Budget Proposals to Roseville and Shoreview City Councils <br />468 Chair Eckman advised that Member Miller made presentations to both the S evi d Roseville City <br />469 Councils. Chair Eckman also noted that she attended the Roseville meetin ember L' denoted <br />470 she attended the Shoreview meeting, and Mr. Petersen noted that he art ed oth meetin <br />471 <br />472 Member Miller reported that both cities appeared amenable to lily e increase rec mmendation, if <br />473 that was what the GLWMO Board came forward with; with S view p g that option; and Roseville <br />474 seeing the necessity for that option to avoid losing local con O. <br />475 <br />476 MPCA T IDL Study Update <br />477 Mr. Petersen provided a written update on his discussion with Ms. Br Asleson of the MPCA, dated <br />478 June 17, 2011, and included with meeting packe als. <br />479 <br />480 VLAWMO / GLWMO Workshops Update <br />481 Mr. Petersen expressed his disappointment in the c f atte ees from the GLWMO at the recent rain <br />482 garden workshop held in partnership with the VL MO, especially with past successful turnouts from <br />483 VLAWMO residents. <br />484 <br />485 Member Von De Linde s este at Mr. Pe sen keep track of workshop presenters for future <br />486 reference. <br />487 <br />488 At the request of Chair Mr. Petersen advised that attendees are recruited through various <br />489 methods from comm ities in MO; and that the rain garden presenter was well respected and <br />490 sought after ' VLA communities, as she addressed landscape aspects versus water <br />491 quality en ' er persp for n gardens. <br />492 <br />493 Doc t GLWMO C beginning in 2008 <br />494 C r noted interest expressed by Lake Owasso Association residents in GLWMO <br />495 accompli s sin the BARR Engineering study and its cost. Chair Eckman asked that those <br />496 accomplish documented, such as how many feet of shoreline had been buffered by BMP cost - <br />497 share projects e the study, as well as pending projects on each lake; GLWMO participation in various <br />498 City projects, uch as the Aladdin project; permeable concrete project done recently by the City of <br />499 Shoreview; periodic dredging of storm ponds; and the estimated calculations available from Ryan of the <br />500 pounds of phosphorus removed to -date. <br />501 <br />502 Action Step <br />503 Chair Eckman asked that Mr. Petersen research that information with the public works staff of each <br />504 respective member city and include that CIP cost -share information on the GLWMO website initiated in <br />505 2008 and updated by year. <br />506 <br />10 <br />
