Are you concerned about an issu e that affects your neighborhood? Do you
want a voice at City Hall, or do you even know how talk to City Hall?
Roseville’s Neighborhood and Community Engagement Task Force is sponsoring
a community forum Wednesday, September 14 , to focus on those question s. The meeting
will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Rose Room at the Rosevill e Skating Center, 2660 Civic
Center Drive, Roseville .
The task force, a group of 20 Roseville residents appointed by the Roseville
Human Rights Commission , has been meeting since May to discuss how city government
relates to neighborhoods, and how citizens can have a more effective voice at City Hall
before decisions are made. It will make its final recommendations to the City Council
late this fall.
The task force is considering wheth er Roseville residents are interested in star ting
neighborhood organizations and forums , and is exploring networks and o ther
communities’ communication systems --as well as ways to improv e existing city
commu n i cations --between residents and city hall.
The September 14 forum will give citizens an opportunity to present their
opinions to the task force, and to learn how neighborhoods can become more involved in
civic governance.
“We need to hear fr om citizens,” said Gary Grefenberg , task force cochair .
“Wha t issues are important to you r family and your neighborhood? We need to hear
from you on whether and how you want t o be heard at City Hall.”
