Roseville Human Rights Commission <br />July 12, 2011 - Draft Minutes <br />Page 5 of 6 <br /> <br />Commissioner Grefenberg the Comm ission is working on continuing, building and expanding 185 <br />current race and diversity dialogues. He would like to see census data to help get a bett er 186 <br />understanding of diversity within Roseville. He said the task force is working in this area. They 187 <br />have developed a website to share information, but it is currently not open to the public, and the 188 <br />task force has not decided yet when they want to make it available for anyone . 189 <br /> 190 <br />Commissioner Grefenberg said the Commission would drop the idea of pursing other funding 191 <br />sources and delay expanding the HRCs role to include mediation. 192 <br /> 193 <br />Joint meeting with City Council 194 <br /> 195 <br />Chair Singleton said he would do a short intr oduction at the Council meeting then commissioners 196 <br />could add comments. Chair Singleton said he wanted this to be a dialogue with the Council. 197 <br /> 198 <br />Commissioner Grefenberg said he invited the civic engagement task force to the meeting and would 199 <br />like to introduc e them if time allowed. 200 <br /> 201 <br />Commissioner Grefenberg said he wanted to suggest to the Council that they look for people who 202 <br />could devote the time and energy to the commission, beyond the two hour monthly meetings. 203 <br /> 204 <br />Chair Singleton said he would ask the youth c ommissioners to be prepared to speak for a few 205 <br />minutes about their role on the commission. 206 <br /> 207 <br />Commissioner Grefenberg clarified that the strategic plan was for the rest of 2011 and they would 208 <br />update in 2012. 209 <br /> 210 <br />Commissioner Grefenberg moved and Commissioner Br isbois seconded motion to approve the 211 <br />strategic plan, as amended.
