August 9, 2011 <br />5A <br />Operations Committee <br /> <br />Internal Affairs Operations Committee <br /> Roseville Human Rights Commission <br /> REPORT <br /> <br />August 1, 2011 <br /> <br />Members: David Singleton, Gary Grefenberg , Jill Brisbois <br /> <br />The Internal Affairs Operations Committee met one time to assess current operations and <br />procedures for the Human Rights Commission. Copies of meeting notes and handouts <br />are attached. <br /> <br />This is an ongoing process and the committee will be reviewing, amending, and adding to <br />the current bylaws last amended in 1986. The following operational rules and procedures <br />were considered and the committee is recommending approval at the June 2011 meeting <br />of the full Co mmission: <br /> <br />MINUTES: PREPARATIO N & DISTRIBUTION <br /> <br />MOTION : When any vote is taken that is not unanimous; the vote of individual <br />commissioners will be reported in the minutes. All unanimous votes will be recorded as <br />such. *3/3 <br /> <br />COMMITTEE STRUCTURE <br /> <br />MOTION: The Data Geeks Committee shall be renamed to the Demographics and <br />Diversity Committee. The duties of the Demographics and Diversity Committee shall <br />include but be limited to: <br /> Assess and monitor changes in the City of Roseville’s population with respect to <br />human rights and diversity issues; and <br /> Monitor and track complaints and reports to the Minnesota Department of Human <br />Rights concerning the City of Roseville and report the same to the full <br />Commission. *3/3 <br />MOTION: The Visions of Success Committee shall be renamed to the Outreach <br />Committee. The duties of the Outreach Committee shall include but not be limited to: <br /> Liaison with other Human Rights Commissions or similar bodies and other <br />Roseville groups regarding human rights and diversity issues that may affect <br />Roseville.
