<br />7Jf7 <br /> <br />Extract of Minutes of Meeting <br />of City Council <br />City of Roseville <br />Ramsey County, Minnesota <br /> <br />March 14, 1983 <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting <br /> <br />of the City Council of the City of Roseville, Minnesota, was <br /> <br />held in the City Hall in said City on Monday, March 14, 1983, <br /> <br />at 7:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> <br />The following members were present: Acting Mayor Johnson <br /> <br />and Councilmen Franke and Kehr (Mayor Demos arrived at 8:10 <br /> <br />p.m.); and the following was absent: Councilman Cur~ey. <br /> <br />Also present were James F. Andre, City Manager; Charles <br /> <br />Honchell, City Public Works Director; Doug Strong, City Public <br /> <br />Works Department; Robert Bell of Peterson, Bell & Converse, <br /> <br />City Attorney; and Peter S. Popovich of Peterson, Popovich, <br /> <br />Knutson & Flynn, City Bond Consultant. <br /> <br />ACTING MAYOR JOHNSON: We'll now hear project P-83-3, <br />Galtier Street from Iona Lane to County Road C-2 and lona <br />Lane from Galtier to Matilda. <br /> <br />MR. ANDRE: We have the certificate of mailing and <br />affidavit of publication for this project on f~le. <br /> <br />MR. HONCHELL: This.is the result of a petition from 52% <br />of the property owners. A 29 foot width exists. The roadway <br />is in fair condition with good grades. Again, we have some <br />very steep driveways and some which don't conform to the <br />standards. The yards are somewhat higher than the road again. <br />Conceivably, we may be adjusting the roadway somewhat to <br />better match the driveways and yards. One thing that is <br />slightl~ different on this street is that at least one home <br />has experienced some water freeze-ups in their line leading <br />out to the street. At the time we would have the roadway <br />excavated open, we would then go down and try to find the <br />cause of that and correct it if we find it to be under the <br />roadway. <br /> <br />MR. POPOVICH: The total estimated cost of this improve- <br />ment is $119,270.17. If it was 100% assessed, it would be <br />
