set it up to have the contractor take them all down and put
them back up or have the property owners take them down so that
they can be handled with tender loving care. As far as the
curbs, they will be six inches high. Any car doors I know of -
at least unless there are very heavy people in the car - are
going to clear that six inch curb. It's a very routine height
and we've experienced no problem with that - scraping car
doors. It's not like you find in downtown St. Paul, where some
of those are maybe ten inch high curbs. We've had no problems
with the six inch height.

MR. DARRELL: I was just asking because of the pitch of
the new roadway possibly. Presently, of course, it hits the
ground - some of these low cars.

MR. HONCHELL: We hope that's not going to happen when
we're done.

MR. THOMAS KING, 2835 Galtier Street: How wide is that
street?

MR. HONCHELL: Existing or proposed?

MR. KING: Existing.

MR. HONCHELL: The prevalent width is approximately 29
feet. If you go along the street, it's a little wider in some
places and a little narrower in others.

MR. KING: What will it be brought down to? Or up to?

MR. HONCHELL: 32 feet.

ACTING MAYOR JOHNSON: Anybody else on Galtier Street?
I'll close the hearing.

Councilman Kehr then introduced the following resolution
and moved its adoption:

Resolution No. 7489

RESOLUTION ORDERING THE CONSTRUCTION
OF IMPROVEMENT NO. P-83-3
AND PREPARATION OF PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR UNDER AND PURSUANT
TO MINNESOTA STATUTES, CHAPTER 429

BE 'IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Roseville,
Minnesota, that in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota
Statutes 1961, Chapter 429, as amended, the Council held a
public hearing on the proposed construction of Improvement No.
P-83-3 consisting of the installation of bituminous paving,
concrete curb and gutter and necessary appurtenances on all
that property abutting Galtier Street from County Road C-2 to

-3-
