ACTING MAYOR JOHNSON: There would be a green space of
ten feet from the curb to the edge of the sidewalk and then a
five foot sidewalk and then one more foot to your property
line and 33 feet to the center of the street. Curbing, plus
ten feet of green space, then a five foot sidewalk.

MRS. MARION LUNZER: C-2 is how wide now and they're
going to make it 34?

MR. HONCHELL: It's 28 to 29 feet now.

MRS. MARION LUNZER: So they're going to widen it
approximately three feet on each side?

MR. HONCHELL: Almost.

MR. CHARLES ZEIGLER, 247 West County Road C-2: I'd like
to know - when you people discovered that this was a state
aid. We got a letter in the mail ten days ago telling us
about our assessments. Sunday morning when I walked out to
get my Sunday paper, there was a little piece of paper on my
front door with a rubberband. That was what told uS,the rest
of the story. Did you people just discover that?

MR. HONCHELL: What happened - since we mailed out the
notices to the people to let you know - this is what we did
to everyone - that there was going to be a discussion
concerning your street. Since there are no assessments to
your property - what you routinely would have had was a letter
simply saying that the City was considering upgrading your
street, inviting you to this meeting. Since the legal
notices were with - the addresses and the legal notices were
mixed together - by a mistake in our department, we sent out
the legal notices rather than the letters. You did get a
notice of the meeting - ten days or two weeks or so ago -
but it didn't say you had a free street. We wanted you to
know that.

MR. ZEIGLER: Don't you think that's kind .of a haphazard
way of getting things around? Going around and putting them
on our doorknobs?

MR. HONCHELL: We didn't want to miss you - that's why
we put it out Friday

MR. ZEIGLER: (Inaudible) people that don't go out the
front door - my family is one of them.

MAN IN AUDIENCE: I found mine in between the two property
lines - next to the fence. I was just picking up papers and
went down and picked it up and I looked at it and said - what
in the world is this? That was yesterday - last night.

MAN IN AUDIENCE: Not to belabor the point, but getting
back to the proposed sidewalk on the south side of the street -

-10-
