HONCHELL: I can respond to that. That is a decision the
Council would have to make. One of the things the City is willing
to do is to negotiate part of the acquisiton of the easement.
What would happen to that easement, and I guess we see it as
something that is not locked into place at this point, but we are
willing to talk about what is the best approach for both you and
the City.

TAMSEN: I have another question. One person on the original
petition did sign at that time but now has some question whether
he wants to be on the signed petition and he is here tonight also.

PEDERSEN, 929 W. Roselawn: I signed the original petition and
I'm not sure that I want it.

DEMOS: Are there any questions we can answer for you.

PEDERSEN: No.

HONCHELL: Are you currently hooked to sewer?

PEDERSEN: No I'm not, I have a cesspool.

HONCHELL: Yours is number 929

PEDERSEN: Yes, and it will take 300 feet to hook me to the sewer.

DEMOS: But if you do not need it at this point, you do not
have to connect.

HONCHELL: In his case he has a structure that would not have
to connect immediately, he would have to connect within 2 years
after the project was in place and available for use if you have a
home. If you are thinking of a future split or things like that
you would have to connect unless there was something special in
the code.

DEMOS: Does anyone else wish to speak?

DAVID OLSON, 1975 N. VICTORIA: I live in the house on the
corner and we currently have septic problems with our septic
system and drain field. Currently the drain field is not working
properly so we have our septic tank pumped every two weeks. I've
been concerned ever since we've been there because even when our
drain field does work it drains down into the swamp area. We own
about 3 acres there, and I am concerned where that water flows
back into the entire area, the swamp covers about two or three
acres at least. Therefore I am very much in support of this and I
think that it's an idea that would open up, and not only relieve
our problem but enable the entire area to develop.

COUNCILMEMBER: I sympathize with you, I went through that
septic tank problem until sewers came to Roseville.
