(planned <br />Unit Developments), and 1013 (Conditional Use permits) of the <br />Roseville City Code. (PF3177) <br />1.0 Background <br />At the Monday,, December 13. 1 999 City Council meeting the Council received <br />additional written and oral comments on proposed amendments to the C it Code <br />relating g to nighttime business uses and activities in Shopping Center Districts. <br />Following the staff and consultant reports and receipt of resident and business <br />testimony, the Council discussed the proposed amendments. Subsequently, the <br />Counc it voted to table further deliberation and possible action on the proposed <br />ordinance until ednesday. December 15, 1999, <br />1.2 In order to facilitate discussion and a decision regarding this proposal., staff has <br />attached a "clean cop of the ordinance as recommended by the planning <br />Commission, which was included in the Monday meeting agenda packet as <br />Attachment C, and is recommending that the Council consider additions and <br />deletions to the draft addressing the concerns raised at the Monday meeting. <br />These suggested revisions are shown by strike and underline type fonts, and <br />include additional punctuation and grammatical modifications as well as <br />substantive provisions <br />2.0 Proposed ordinance -Areas of Concern/ Remaining Issues <br />2.1 review mocess. The ordinance proposes two processes for approval. -Under the <br />first p rocess the staff would review minor amendments to the master shopping <br />center p lan, which include changes in the building cube which are less than a <br />10 As indicated in the record, this is consistent with the City's previous and <br />current p ractices. The second process would require a conditional use permit for <br />any new structure or expansion of are existing structure that increases the cube of <br />the buildin g or structure by more than 10% of its current area.
