Manufacturing exports brought nearly $9.53 billion on into the Minnesota <br />economy in 1997; and <br />WHEREAS.m Manufacturing provided nearly 429,000 high skill, high wage jobs in 1997, <br />which significantly contribute to Minnesota's high standard of living and <br />economic vitality; and <br />WHEREAS,m Manufacturing contributed nearly $216 million in corporate income taxes in <br />Minnesota, more than any other business sector, and almost 28 percent of <br />the total corporate taxe In 1998; and <br />WHEREAS.'
