Available daytime people who have <br />an interest in firefighting should call 490-2300. Globalization <br />is a reality in today's business spectrum and there <br />are still many companies that have not taken <br />advantage of the tremendous opportunities <br />oversees. <br />With 80 percent of the world buying power <br />beyond the U.S. border, why are so few Minnesota <br />companies involved in international trade? Out of <br />the estimated 125 manufacturinglhigh tee <br />companies in Roseville, only 30 companies, or 2 4 <br />percent, are involved in international trade. Clearly <br />some of the companies have products that serve <br />only the local market but ethers may just need <br />additional resources to expand their market <br />[fill -J iT1 f -�1 <br />Exporting your product and/or service does not <br />come without challenges (financing, differing <br />business practices, licensing, etc.) but the rewards <br />can be substantial. According to the world Trade <br />Association, one Minnesota company recently <br />increased sales by a half million dollars and <br />increased their staff by 30 percent as a result of <br />exporting their product. The Minnesota Trade <br />Office and the Minnesota world Trade <br />Associa are joust a couple of the organizations <br />available to help provide the technical information <br />and training needed to enter the global <br />marketplace. <br />If you are interested in exploring international <br />markets, plan to attend the upcoming Business <br />Link Luncheon and learn from the experiences of <br />other Roseville businesses.
