Rose H Im Pla <br />i(s .1q] 110- <br />The City of Roseville has several different housing programs currently in place under <br />the basic guidance of the comprehensive Plan and goals that have been established by <br />Council for participation in the Livable Communities Program. <br />S taff has prepared a draft Housing Flan which can serve as a guide to Council and Staff <br />regarding current and future housing policy and planning., The Plan summarizes the <br />goals and objectives of the Comprehensive Man and Livable Communities Program <br />and provides an outline of the different housing programs developed over the past <br />several years. Staff has also added 'Implementation strategies that could be provided to <br />more fully ac the housing objectives* <br />2.0 Summar of Draft Housin Plar <br />The draft Housing Plan inc ludes an i ntroduction, background, gui p rinciples, <br />objectives an implementation strategies. Many of the implementation strategies are <br />already in place but there are ways that the City can enhance the programs by making <br />new services available to Roseville residents. <br />3.0 Proposed Program enhancements and Additions for Housing Renovation <br />The following outlines proposed enhancements to eidsting programs and additional ways <br />the City can provide services to achieve the objectives outlined in the Draft Housing <br />Program <br />Under Objective <br />A. Implementation Strategy Support and fund loan programs. <br />The City currently markets several loan programs for home renovations provided with funding <br />through the City Housing Fund County CDBG and Minnesota Housing Finance Agency. It is <br />difficult to determine which program would work the hest for each individual homeowner <br />based upon types of repairs needled and income levels.
