This Agreement will allow Metricom to bring its exciting new wireless i nternet service, <br /> called Ricochet, to City businesses and residents. <br /> REVISED AGREEMENT <br /> This Agreement has been updated from the version that I gave to you a few weeks ago. It shows <br /> the changes that were made after consultation with the attorneys representing the League of <br /> Minnesota Cities and Suburban Rate Authority. For your convenience, I have enclosed a <br /> Reference Draft that highlights these changes. <br /> With the hope that you will find this updated draft acceptable, I have included three copies ready <br /> for signature by the City when the time comes for final approval. <br /> QUESTIONS ABOUT CITY APPROVAL PROCESS <br /> Could you please clarify what the City's review and approval process will be? If it includes <br /> approval by the Council, could we please be put on the agenda for an upcoming meeting? <br /> The Agreement requires Metricom to supply the City with a map showing the proposed locations <br /> of the pole top radios. We propose to supply the map after the Agreement is signed. All radio <br /> locations will be subject to your review and approval. <br /> SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS <br /> As you may recall from our earlier discussions, Metricom's wireless network is accomplished by <br /> attaching shoebox sized radios on street lights, It usually takes approximately seven of these <br /> radios per square mile to cover an area. The power for the radios is tapped from existing photo <br /> sensors on the street light. These radios can also be attached to power poles. Metricom does not <br />
