EXTRACT of MINUTES of MEETING of THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL of THE CITY of RO EVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota Was duly held on the 24th day of August, 1 998, <br /> at 6:30 p.m. <br /> The following members were present., <br /> and , and the following were absent; <br /> Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPLICATION FOR AN <br /> AUTO THEFT REDUCTION GIANT <br /> WHEREAS, the City has averaged 177 auto thefts per year over the last six years; and <br /> WHEREAS, vehicle thefts create immediate hardship on the victim: and <br /> r investigai n r� for v l icle thefts is a technical and tir consuming sobs{and <br /> WHEREAS, <br /> r <br /> WHEREAS, grant money to pay for analysis and overtime costs for investigations of motor <br /> vehicle theft is available from the Minnesota Auto Theft Prevention Program; <br /> Novo, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council authorizes the Roseville <br /> Police rtrr�ent to accept a ,000 auto theft red action grant from the Minnesota Auto <br /> p <br /> Theft Prevention Program which was created by the 1996 Minnesota Legislature. <br /> The'ruction for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Member <br /> on <br /> and u a vote being taken thereon, the following voted- in favor thereof: <br /> a � � <br /> and and the following voted against the <br /> same: <br /> WHEREUPON said resolution Was declared duly passed and adopted. <br />
