EXHIBIT A ­ Continued <br /> B - 9. Meredith Cable will make the I-Niet available to the designated institutions for <br /> video uses at no charge. <br /> B - 10. Meredith Cable will Hulce three 6 channels available downstream and <br /> three (6)NlEh channels available upstream for non-video rises at no charge. <br /> B - 11. Meredith Cable will charge designated institutions for all non-video uses beyond <br /> B - 10, mentioned above at a rate calculated based on the Company's actual cost plus a <br /> 45% margin or"most favored comparable user"' rate, whichever is 10 ever. <br /> B - 12. Nothing contained herein shall prevent Meredith Cable from using available <br /> capacity for other uses except that designated institutions shall have priority over other <br /> uses subject to rules or policies adopted by Meredith Cable after consultation with the <br /> COMM,ssion. <br /> B- 13. Ilse of the I-Net by the Cable C ommissio n� cities or delegated institutions will be <br /> hnuted to their own uses and no institution may sell any service to any third party. <br /> B- 14. Meredith Cable will either allow designated institutions to purchase their own <br /> equipment or will lease end-user terminal equipment to requesting institutions. <br /> Y B - 15. Meredith Cable will provide and maintain I-Net equipment for the Commission, <br /> member cities and designated institutions on a cost recovery basis. <br /> C. PRO I MM <br /> Upon completion and activation by territory, Meredith will program a rr�nimum of 81 analog <br /> video channels. While definitive progranuning agreements have not been entered into and, as <br /> such <br /> specific p ackacyin g, tiering and pricing decisions cannot be made at this time, it is anticipated <br /> that prices will be adjusted as authorized to reflect the additional programming as well as project <br /> and programuning costs. As examples, we prell narily anticipate the following new <br /> programming choices or sirnil ar services will be available: <br /> 1. Ba sic_ ervi e (or equivalent) - Initially, Meredith Cable anticipates a continuation <br /> of current Basic Service offering of 28 channels without a realignment of channels within <br /> Universal Service. <br /> C- 2. Preferred Fier Service r equivalent -Meredith Cable anticipates the addition <br /> of 4 or 5 channels to this tier that currently consists of 29 channels. Where will be a <br /> corresponding rate adjustment. Preliminarily, and as examples, eve anticipate the likely <br /> addition of the following exciting new offerings or others as we may deem more <br /> responsive to subscriber or marketplace needs and interests.: <br /> 4 <br />
