EXTRACT of MINUTES OF MEETING of THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br /> of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota, was duly called held at the City Hall on <br /> Monday, the 27th day of July, 1 998 at 630 P.M. <br /> The following members were present: <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> Council Member introduced the following resolution and roved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION No. <br /> RESOLUTION GRANTING AUTHORITY TO PARTICIPATE IN THE <br /> METROPOLITAN COUNCIL'S "COST OF GROWTH STUDY11 <br /> WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has approved the Regional Growth Strategies <br /> study which is 'intended to be the blueprint for metropolitan development into the next <br /> century; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Regional Growth Strategies study will help define the way our <br /> metropolitan area accommodates some 600,000 new residents in the next 20 years, the <br /> patterns of redevelopment Including transportation, housing and other significant <br /> metropolitan issues, and, the direction of tax policy in response to development patterns <br /> and service delivery costs; acrd, <br /> WHEREAS, in conjunction with the Regional Growth Strategies, the Metropolitan <br /> Council is conducting a `Cost of Growth Study:' and has offered the City of Roseville an <br /> opportunity to participate; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the financial support for participation 'in this study is $10,000, $5,000 <br /> of which will be assumed by the 135W Corridor Coalition and the balance (of 5,000) to be <br /> assumed from the city's 1998 Contingent Account; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the <br /> City Manager to enter into the `most of Growth study" with the Metropolitan Council, with <br /> the cost not to exceed $5,000, to be committed from the 1 998 Contingent Account. <br /> The :motion for the adoption of the foregoing Resolution was seconded by Council <br /> Member and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted 'in favor- <br /> thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> WHEREUPON said resolution was declared duly passed and adapted. <br /> Resolution# - Page 1 of 2 <br />
