i i July 101, 1998 Dear resident: The City of Roseville has imp lernented i" storm damaged tree cleanup in response to the most recent windstorm to hit the area on June 26, 1998. The damage to trees on private property is much greater than initially expected. Field surreys estimate 1200 to 1500 hones sustained tree damage. In order to expedite this tree debris cleanup, the City Plans to bring a contractor on to a Roseville site to grind the tree debris into woodchips. we feel this is the most efficient and cost effective way to complete this program. The only available site for this operation is to old bandy rink site on Dale Street, which is in your neighborhood. This operation will take approximately 1 week to complete. Where will be some noise as well as some dust generated. City crews will water-the area to keep dust to a minimum. Fours of operation will be limited to regular daytime hours to minimize the inconvenience to the neighborhood. The woodchips would be hauled to the compost site and make available to the public for landscaping purposes. The City Council will consider the short-term use of this site at its regular meeting on Monday, July 13, 1998.
