Report/Recommendation <br /> Item Description: Roseville Housing Improvement Program <br /> Demolition of 2668 Lexington Avenue <br /> 1:0 Re esdAon <br /> 1.1 City staff is requesting approval of the demolition of the home at 2668 Lexington <br /> Avenue. <br /> .OBaqftround <br /> 2.1 Council approved the purchase of 2668 Lexington Avenue as part of the Housing <br /> Replacement Program on April 7, 1998. The City took possession of the property <br /> on May 28, 1998. <br /> 2.2 Staff collected three quotes for the removal and final site grading of the home and <br /> garage at 2668 Lexington from demolition contractors: F. I. Fraftalone ($8,900), <br /> Veit & Company ($7401) and ievitt Excavating ($7,600). <br /> 3,0 Staff Recommendation <br /> 3.1 Staff recommends awarding the contract for demolition of 2668 Lexington to Devitt <br /> Excavating for a total amount of$7,600 paid for out of the Roseville Housing Fund. <br /> 3.2 The demolition includes an asbestos survey, demolition and proper disposal of the <br /> house, garage, foundation and driveway, severer and water disconnection, backfill, <br /> topsoil, seed and permits. <br /> 3.3 Kevitt Excavating is able to complete the work the first creek of July which takes into <br /> account the required 1 0-day notification period required by the Minnesota Pollution <br /> Control Agency. <br /> 4.0 Syggested CouncH Action <br /> 4.1 By motion, approve the demolition of 2668 Lexington Avenue by Devitt Excavating <br /> for a total cost of$7,600 to be funded from the Roseville Housing Fund. <br /> WHousingWeplacemant ProgramlHRP Revision fbr Demo.doe <br /> RCA-2668 Lexington Demolition 06/2 2/98- Page 1 of 1 <br />
