Landscape Company in the amount of $302,163.26 for the construction of approximately <br /> 1 1/4 mile asphalt trail, 100 feet of boardwalk, the construction of two ballfields with fencing <br /> and the utility work for installation of an irrigation system as outlined in the project <br /> specifications and that alternate 1 be rejected for being outside the project budget. Staff <br /> recommends acceptance of alternate 2 (Al r A21 E, C). This items by contract may be <br /> taken in quantity selection. The total amount of these alternates will be $14,238. <br /> COUNCIL ACTION RE ESTER <br /> 1. Motion authorizing the acceptance of the low bid of Central Landscape company in the <br /> amount of$302,163.26 for the construction at Langton Lake Park of approximately 1 <br /> 1/2 mile asphalt trail, 135 feat of boardwalk, the construction of two ballfields with <br /> fencing and the utility work for installation of an irrigation system and the acceptance <br /> of alternate 2 (sections Al, A2, B, c) for vinyl colored fencing and the construction of <br /> base work for future amenities as outlined in the project specifications and that <br /> alternate 1 be rejected for being outside the project budget. The monies for the <br /> proposed development are proposed to be taken from the Parks and Recreation <br /> Infrastructure Fund and the grant from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources <br /> Outdoor Recreation Program. <br /> 2. Motion authorizing the deletion of the proposed boardwalk on the north side of the lake <br /> and the parking lot near Arthur St. from the Langton Lake Park Master Flan. <br /> 3. Motion to authorize/not authorize the hiring of a consultant to do a feasibility study to <br /> determine options and costs and need for creating additional water flog in the north <br /> end of Langton Lake. <br /> W <br />
