REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL <br /> 2004/06 WINTER NATIONAL SENIOR GAMES <br /> THE SENIOR OLYMPICS <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> The following Request For Proposal (RFP) has been developed by the National Senior Games <br /> Association (NSGA) for review by Host Communities interested in pursuing candidacy for the 2004 <br /> and/or 2006 Winter National Senior Games � The Senior Olympics. The purposes of the RFP are <br /> to communicate information to the prospective Host Communities about the Games, to set forth the <br /> basis of the relationship between the NSGA and the community that will be selected to host the <br /> Games, and to set forth obligations that must be undertaken by the Host Community should it be <br /> awarded the Games. The ultimate goal of the NSGA is to select a Host Community that will <br /> continue the tradition of excellence set by the Host Communities in prior Games. Any award made <br /> under this RFP shall only become binding when the parties execute a final written agreement that <br /> sets forth their respective rights and responsibilities. <br /> This RFP contains general information regarding the NSGA and the National Senior Games — The <br /> Senior Olympics; the scope of services for the Local Organizing Committee (LOC), NSGA provided <br /> services and venue specifications. It also contains information regarding structure of the proposal, <br /> selection process and timeline, evaluation criteria and funding mechanisms. <br /> Proposals must be received by 5:00 p.m. Prevailing Central Time, Monday, May 13, 2002. <br /> A $2300.00 proposal fee in the form of a certified check must accompany the proposal. <br /> Unsuccessful proposers will be rebated $2,000.00. The total Games Award fee is $10,000.00. <br /> Communities that are awarded the Games are required to remit the $7,500.00 balance within 45 <br /> days of notice of award. <br /> All questions must be directed to: <br /> Mr. Philip H.
