Inc. for <br /> demolition and removal of old buildings and debris at 1966 <br /> Chatsworth Park property. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The recently acquired property at 1966 Chatsworth has two greenhouses and two <br /> accessory buildings that are in disrepair and are a safety hazard. Staff solicited and <br /> received three quotations for the demolition and removal: <br /> Ray Anderson & Sons - 71000 <br /> * F. M. Frattalone - 1Op2OO <br /> Tait & om pany $12, 963 <br /> The work also ' eludes removal and disposal of other on-site debris and backfilling of <br /> removal sites. <br /> The City's Risk Manager determined that these items posed a significant risk to public <br /> safety; thus the work was done on May 18. <br /> POLICY OBJECTIVE <br /> The proposed consultant contract is consistent with the policy of eliminating any <br /> hazardous sites within Roseville. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPLICATION <br /> The $7,000 cost for the demolition and removal is proposed to be taken from the <br /> Recreation Infrastructure Fund. <br /> STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> Eased on the public safety concerns that the property poses, staff arranged for the <br /> immediate demolition and removal of the buildings and debris at the 1966 Chatsworth <br /> park property and requests Council approval of this action. <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br /> Motion approving the demolition and removal of the buildings and debris at the 1 966 <br /> Chatsworth Dark property on May 18, 1998 because of public safety concerns, with the <br /> funds to be taken from the Recreation Infrastructure Fund. <br />
