If you have not resolved your complaint by the end of the 30-day period, you <br /> have two options. (1) We will provide professional mediation services if you <br /> wish to help resolve the complaint. (2) You can bring the complaint to a <br /> formal hearing, for which we will ask you to submit a final statement in <br /> preparation for the hearing. The hearing is not a trial, but a serious discussion <br /> in' an informal yet structured setting. Accordingly, both parties are expected to <br /> attend and to speak for themselves. You may continue to try to resolve your <br /> complaint before a hearing, but a hearing may not be delayed <br /> During the 30-day time period, we are available to assist you in getting in <br /> touch with the proper people at the Pioneer Press. We will check in with you <br /> periodically during this time. We would appreciate being copied on <br /> correspondence between the City Council and the newspaper regarding the <br /> complaint. <br /> Please let me know if you have questions or concerns about our complaint- <br /> handling process.
