Absent: none. <br /> Work Session <br /> I. Review of Regular Meeting Agenda Regular Meeting <br /> Councilmembers had no questions about the Regular Agenda. Agenda Review <br /> II. Additional Staff Presentations <br /> A. Ramsey County Attorney Update Ramsey Co. Attorney <br /> Gaertner spoke about increasing gang and gun violence <br /> in Ramsey County, and her increased emphasis on gang <br /> and gun prevention and prosecution. She remarked <br /> about a specialized unit to prosecute auto theft and the 50 <br /> cent surcharge residents pay per year on private <br /> insurance premiums to support law enforcement efforts <br /> to deter auto theft. She also addressed truancy <br /> intervention and enforcement, which aims to prevent <br /> adolescents from either being victimized or victimizing <br /> others. Gaertner stated her child support enforcement <br /> unit is effective and is a strong crime prevention tool. <br /> Kysylyczyn asked about trends and priorities in law <br /> enforcement. Gaertner noted identity theft and domestic <br /> violence as priority issues. <br /> Kough asked about judicial leniency. <br /> B. County Road C Design Elements -bike path County Road C <br /> Dan Soler reviewed the street section views contained in Design Elements <br /> the Council packet.
