1 .4 State statute allows the City to extend the moratorium for a total of 18 <br /> months. The City Attorney is preparing an ordinance extending the <br /> moratorium. <br /> In order to meet the timelines and need for further study and analysis <br /> specified by the Planning Commission, the staff is recommending hiring <br /> a development consultant to work with the staff. The consultant would <br /> create a new set of land use scenarios, meet with a number of the <br /> potential housing developers to determine preliminary feasibility, and <br /> prepare proformas for each new scenario. <br /> 2.D Su anested Council Action: <br /> 2.1 By Ordinance, extend the prohibition of development and issuance of <br /> permits for any business use and certain multi-family use in certain <br /> designated areas of the City of Roseville (James Addition) until <br /> September 28, 1998 (by amending Section 2 of Ordinance 1191). <br /> 2.2 By motion, approve hiring consultants (from the city planning, <br /> development and/or finance consultant pool) to assist in the creation <br /> and review of additional scenarios.
