E- <br /> Department Approval: Mamoger Reviewed: Agenda Section. <br /> Organizational Business <br /> Item Description-, Establish Special City Council Work Session for Tuesday, April 7, <br /> 1998, from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> Since the City Council Team Building Session of February, 1 998, we have eliminated the <br /> first of the month work sessions and in their place scheduled (as needed) spacial City <br /> Council Work Sessions. Those work sessions tend to focus on relatively fair issues. They <br /> are intended to provide information to City Council, are opportunity for discussion, and <br /> provide feedback to staff for additional information requested. <br /> STAFF RE OMMENDAT1oNs <br /> Proposed is a Spacial City Council Work Session for the purpose of reviewing four issues <br /> as follows: <br /> 1. The City Carter Planning Process. <br /> 2. The interrelated issues of: <br /> A. Cable Television Franchise Renewal, <br /> B. the Fight-of--way Ordinance, and <br /> C. the Utility Franchise Renewal process. <br /> 3. Employee Compensation Study. <br /> 4. Review of the office remodeling and Council offices. <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br /> Motion establishing Tuesday, April T, 1998, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. as a spacial City <br /> Council Work session. <br />
