A. Morton Construction Managers <br /> for the Roseville slating Center Expansion Project <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> In order to maximise the development in the expansion project at the Roseville <br /> Skating Center, staff is proposing to use the Construction Manager technique. <br /> This p rocess includes the substitution of a Construction Manager for the General <br /> Contractor. The fee for Construction Manager services is less thye the typical <br /> fee for General contractors and in additon there is no markup for subcontractors. <br /> Specifically the Construction Manager provides these services. <br /> 1. At all times, work on behalf of the City of Roseville. <br /> 2. coordination of contractors at the site on a full-time basis. <br /> 3. Communicate on a regular basis with the Director of Parks and Recreation. <br /> 4. Work roductivel with BRA staff to ensure hest and most cost effective <br /> P y <br /> project for the city of Roseville. <br /> 5. Review J ro'ect schedule from final design through construction completion. <br /> p <br /> 6. A value-engineering techniques during design and bidding phases and <br /> Apply � � <br /> male recommendations regarding project constructabi l ity. <br /> 7. Provide cost confirmations during all phases of design. <br /> 8. Review contract documents prior to issuance of bidders. <br /> 9. Recommend divisions of work to facilitate the multiple bidding process. <br /> 10. Review p ro osed alternatives with B RA and the C itry of Rosevi 11 a to <br /> determine if those being considered are complete and in the City's best <br /> interest. <br /> 11.Conduct negotiations with contractors on behalf of the city. <br /> 12.Provide administrative assistance in signing contracts and the accumulation <br /> of required documents. <br /> 13, yPrepare weekly project meeting agendas and organize and prepare minutes <br /> p � <br /> of weekly project meetings. <br />
