REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> 3/23/98 <br /> ITEM . <br /> E-1 <br /> Approval:Department Section: <br /> '— -�R d– Organizational Business <br /> -_7 <br /> Item Description: May 11, 18, and 25, 1998 Council Meeting Changes. <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The remodeling of the City Hail Public Works, Finance, and Administration office areas will <br /> be completed during Islay. The remodeling will involve demolition and construction, <br /> repainting, carpeting, and new office furnishings. The staff located in those office areas <br /> will be temporarily moved to a portion of the Council Chambers and the lower level Training <br /> Room. <br /> City Hall will be open for all business needs of the residents, but there be some mess <br /> and inconvenience. <br /> STAFF RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Because of the use of the Council Chambers, 'it is recommended the Council cancel the <br /> May 11 regular Council meeting, and reschedule the May 25 Council meeting, because it <br /> is a holiday, to Tuesday, May 26. It is also recommended the May 18 work session be <br /> devoted to a tour of the Parks. <br /> COUNCIL_ ACTION RE NESTED <br /> Motion canceling the regular City Council meeting of May 11, 1 998, and rescheduling the <br /> regular City Council meeting of May 25 to Tuesday, May 26, 1 998. Further, that the May <br /> 18 regular Council work session agenda will be a tour of the City. <br />
