Statutes Sections 103D,205, 10313.221} 103D.261,and 103D.305, Whereas,the subject petition dated January 20, 199$has been filed with the Department of Property Records and Revenue (auditor)of Rangy County}the Commissioner of the Department of Natural Resources NR),the Director of the D1 Division of Waters,and the RWNfWD,,pursuant to Minn. Statutes Sections 103D.205 and 1 0313.261. Now therefore,the Board of Water and Soil Resources(Board)hereby issues the following: NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing on the establishment/enlargement/increase number of managers of a atenhed district will be held on Monday,April 6, 1 998,beginning at 7:00 PM at the Como Lakeside Pavilion at Como Park, 1360 N.Lexington ngton Pkwy,St.Paul,Minnesota. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public conunents on the establishment of a watershed district or the enlargement and increase in the number of managers of the RWMWD in the areas of the C entra 1 and Southwest Ramsey Watershed Management Organi ations pmt to the Metropolitan Surface Water Management Act,Minn. Statutes Sections 103B.205 to 10313.2.55. At the hearing,all interested persons will be given opportunity to submit pertinent information. The proposed watershed district or enlargement encompasses approNimately 3 7 square miles of land in Ramsey County, I t includes land in the cities of St.Paul,Roseville,Maplewood,and Falcon Heights,the State Fairgrounds,and the University_ of Minnesota. The RWMWD includes land in the cities of Landfall,Little Canada,Maplewood,forth St.Paul,Oakdale,St. Paul, adnais Heights,white Rear Lake and Woodbury. The purpose for the establishment or enlargement of the watershed district and contemplated improvements is to conserve the natural resources of the state by land use planning,flood control,and other conservation projects by using sound scientific principles for the protection of the public health and welfare and the provident use of the natural resources.
