POLICY OBJECTIVE The proposal to complete Langton Lake Parr is consistent with the following policies: Parks and Recreation Systems Plan Langton Lake Master Plan Parks and Recreation Infrastructure Committee Recommendations FINANCIAL IMPLICATION The planned cost of the completion of Langton Lake Park as stated above is $350,000. rant application i s being developed for the DN R outdoor Recreation Program for $50,000 to assist is the development of the trail. STAFF RECOMMENDATION Based on the recommendation of the Parrs and Recreation commission, the Parks an Recreation Infrastructure Committee and the consistency with the Langton Labe Park Master Plan, the staff recommends the authorization to advertise for bids the completion of Langton Lake Park as outlined in the above project proposal. COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED Motion authortzltng the advertising of bids for the completion of Langton Lake Park including approximate 1 1/2 mile of bituminous trail, children's play apparatus, conversion of youth baseball to youth fast pitch softball fields, 2 small picnic table shelters, fishing pier, beaches, landscaping and turf irrigation. 2
