They also requested that the sanitary <br /> sewer pipe crossing the north section of the lake be removed. This is also not part of this <br /> project. This item will be refereed to the Engineering Department for their review and <br /> response. <br /> If approved, the construction of the park would take place beginning in July. <br /> POLICY OBJECTIVE <br /> The proposal to complete Langton Lake Parr is consistent with the following policies: <br /> Parks and Recreation Systems Plan <br /> Langton Lake Master Plan <br /> Parks and Recreation Infrastructure Committee Recommendations <br /> FINANCIAL IMPLICATION <br /> The planned cost of the completion of Langton Lake Park as stated above is $350,000. <br /> rant application i s being developed for the DN R outdoor Recreation Program for <br /> $50,000 to assist is the development of the trail. The monies for the proposed <br /> development less any received grant monies would be taken from the Parrs and <br /> Recreation Infrastructure Fund. <br /> STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> Based on the recommendation of the Parrs and Recreation commission, the Parks an <br /> Recreation Infrastructure Committee and the consistency with the Langton Labe Park <br /> Master Plan, the staff recommends the authorization to advertise for bids the completion <br /> of Langton Lake Park as outlined in the above project proposal. <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br /> Motion authortzltng the advertising of bids for the completion of Langton Lake Park <br /> including approximate 1 1/2 mile of bituminous trail, children's play apparatus, conversion <br /> of youth baseball to youth fast pitch softball fields, 2 small picnic table shelters, fishing <br /> pier, beaches, landscaping and turf irrigation. <br /> 2 <br />
