The statement gives us our identity, and a view of the culture we are creating. The Minnesota Waldorf School is part of an association of schools developed out of the work of Rudolf Steiner} and the-revitalization he gaga to many areas of practical life at the beginning of the twentieth century. We recognize our responsibility and commitment not only to the Minnesota Waldorf School, but also to the Waldorf Movement in North America and the world. The Mission of the whole school community is to bang forth and support through the established bodies of the organization (College, Board Of Trustees, and Parent Council) a child centered approach to education.As Steiner stated in 1919, "Our endeavor must be to develop free human beings who are abie of themselves to impart purpose and direction to their lives." The Vision of the whole school community is to: - forward the life of the school such that it can be widely shared with others in our surrounding community. forward the possibility of transforming the existing culture, such that the one Steiner spore of might be realized. As a community, we consider as our primary purpose the following-. Services: Offering a truly comprehensive education which wHI enable our students to stand as confident* compassionate, and competent individuals in our contemporary world. Offering a curriculum that addresses the needs of the whole human being,-body, soul, and spirit--in a developmentally appropriate manner.
