The program was developed with the coaching assistance of J an na <br /> targeted i <br /> ing from Economic Development Services. In 1998, staff s recommending that Janna <br /> continue to act as a coach to staff in the long term business retention process in the <br /> following areas: <br /> 2.1.1 Quarterly business data base updates from Dunn & Bradstreet <br /> 2.1.2 Monthly business retention meetings <br /> 2.1.3 Business Link Monthly Newsletter (review and contribute) <br /> 2.1.4 Business Link Quarterly Luncheons (organize and assist w/ speakers) <br /> .1.5 Requested support on business expansion projects (state SBA funding) <br /> � pp <br /> 2.1.6 Continue to develop a system of benchmarks for effectiveness of process <br /> 2.1.7 Assist in updating marketing and promotional materials <br /> 2.1.8 Assist in'other departmental activities relating to economic development as <br /> needed <br /> The <br /> basic business retention activities (data base updates, monthly meeting and <br /> business link fay) is estimated to cost between $3,600 - $5,000 for the year with are hourly <br /> rat e of 90 for all other assistance with a maximum amount not to exceed $6,500 without <br /> further Council approval.
