2.2 Affordable Suburban Housing, The City of Roseville approved several housing programs <br /> under the Roseville Housing Improvement Program to improve and sustain the quality of <br /> single and multi-family housing and provide a quality max of life cycle housing <br /> opportunities for Roseville residents. In 1 998 the Council approved the initiation of the <br /> Housing Replacement Program and Rental Rehabilitation Loan Program with the <br /> consulting services of Bill Schatzlien from Affordable Suburban Housing. In addition, Bill <br /> assisted with the planning and administration of the Roseville Home and Garden Fair in <br /> 1 997 and 1 998. Staff is recommending that Bill Schatzlien continue to assist in <br /> irn Iementing the Housing Replacement Program at an hourly rate of 50 with a <br /> maximum not-to exceed $8,000 without further Council approval. Funding for the work <br /> regarding these programs would core from the City's Housing Fund. -Since the Home <br /> Garden Fair for 1 998 has concluded, staff is not recommending further assistance from <br /> Affordable Suburban Housing for the planning of the 3' Annual Hoge & Garden Fair in <br /> 1999. <br /> 3.0 staff Reno mendation <br /> Both Economic Development Services and Affordable Suburban Housing are currently included <br /> in the business/financial consultant pool and have performed well to assist staff. Staff is <br /> recommending approval of the work programs as outlined above with the direction to eater into <br /> consultant contracts for the Business Retention Program with Economic Development Services <br /> and for the Housing Replacement Program with Affordable Suburban Housing. (A service <br /> contract has already been approved for the Rental Rehabilitation Program with Affordable <br /> Suburban Housing per Council direction on January 26, 11998). Staff is not recommending <br /> further assistance from Affordable Suburban Housing for the V Annual Home & Garden Fair. <br /> 0 S ested Action <br /> By action approve continuing consultant contracts with Economic Development Services and <br /> Affordable Suburban Housing. The consultant contracts will be subject to review by the City <br /> Attorney and approval by the City Manager.
