Kim Lee
2/16198
There are concerns with traffic flow and management that have not been
adequately investigated. The easement concept suggested allows two-way traffic
from county Road B across the westerly portion of the affected properties to the
northwest corner of the McDonald's property. Easement traffic would continue
east-west through the northerly drive lane of the McDonald's parking area. clothing
has been defined for McDonald's regarding the impact of these additional traffic
movements unrelated to its business. In addition, two-way traffic along tho westerly
portion of KFC would impact their drive-thru operation. The current Arbor's site
could accommodate two-way traffic, but their recently approved re-development
project does net adequately make that provision.
McDonald's reiterates its willingness to cooperate in the discussion surrounding an
agreement to create cross access easements. However, the agreement needs to
be uniform and created simultaneously for all affected. Given these concerns,
McDonald's asps that staff Recommendation 4.1.9 be removed from the
Requested Action on the consideration of this Conditional Use Permit.
sincerely,
14,A, / ext-V%W
Craig Barnes lilt
Construction Department Manager
Minneapolis Reg ion
Constilfames/rosavle4,daic 2
