0EXTIRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Roseville, County of Ramsey: Minnesota, was duty called held at the City Hall on Monday, the 23rd day of February, 1 998, at 6:30 P.M. The following members were present: ; and the following members were absent: . Council Member introduced the folloWing resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION Flo. RESOLUTION DENYING A VARIANCE AT 964 COUNTY ROAD B WEST �.M WHEREAS, Section 1004.02D, City Code, requires a minimum lot area of 1 1,000 square feet and a minimum lot width of 85 feet for interior lots in an R1 zoning district; and WHEREAS, the Max DeFlorlan Estate has requested a variance to reduce the lot area of one parcel to 8,911 square feet, and the lot width of both parcels to 79.56 feet for the purpose of subdividing a parcel of record into two parcels at 964 County Road E West; and WHEREAS, the Roseville Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on the request on Wednesday, February 11, 1998, and recommended denial of the requested variances; and WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council received the Planning Commissi 0 n's recommendation on Monday, February 23, 1998; and WHEREAS, a Roseville City Council made the following findings: . Section 1 0o4.o1), City Code, requires a minimum lot area of 11 000 square feet and a minimum lot width of 85 feet for interior lots in an R1 zoning district. The existing parcel is 20,456 square feat in area and 79.5 feet in width. 2. The improvement of Burke Avenue created numerous through lots in this area. Since the raid-1 970s, several lots in this area have been split such as that being proposed by the applicant; however, most of the lots allowed to be split were wider than this parcel.
