2.4 The existing attached accessory steel building is located on a slightly large <br /> concrete slab. The applicant would like to construct the proposed addition with the <br /> same general dimensions of the concrete slab, which would allow the addition to be <br /> constructed in line with the north gall of the building and one foot closer to the vest <br /> property line than the existing steel building. The project as proposed would <br /> remove an unsightly steel structure and replace it with an addition that unproved the <br /> overall appearance of the property. <br /> 2.5 The applicant held an information meeting on Saturday, January �1, +1 998. o one <br /> pp <br /> attended this meeting or called the applicant with questions. <br /> Section 1005.0 of the City Code requires a side yard setback of 10 feet and a <br /> rear yard setback of 20 feet for a parcel in a B3 zoning district. <br /> Section 1013.02 outlines the criteria and procedure for considering a variance. <br /> sTAFF COMMENT <br /> 3.1 In reviewing his request, staff made the following findings: <br /> Section 1005.01 of the city code requires a side yard setback of 10 feet <br /> and a rear and setback of 20 feet for a parcel in a B zoning district' The <br /> y <br /> existing rind al structure is on the rear property line and setback 7.7 feet <br /> from the side ro erty line.
