5.0 SUGGESTED COUNCIL DISCUSSION & DIRECTION: <br /> 5.1 If, after discussion regarding the proposal and policy issues, Council is interested <br /> pursuing financial assistance for the Presbyterian Homes development proposal, the <br /> following are suggested next steps. <br /> a. Encourage Presbyterian Homes to make a formal tax increment application <br /> and deposit. <br /> b. Direct staff to hire a City financial consultant (Jim Casserly would be best <br /> suited to do this) to develop tax increment and tax abatement projections based <br /> upon Presbyterian Homes proposal. <br /> c.
