Parks and Recreation Commission Page <br /> 2. Staff provides information to Commission members to clarify issues related to <br /> planning items. <br /> A. commission members should he cognizant of staff workload and time <br /> constraints when meeting with staff or requesting information: <br /> B. To ensure the most effective provision of information, all information <br /> requests are made through the Department Head or his designee. <br /> C. To ensure timely and adequate information and to expedite the Commission <br /> meeting process, commission members review as many questions and <br /> concerns as possible with staff prior to the Commission meeting. <br /> working as part of a team with staff, Commission members advise the <br /> Department Head or city Manager regarding areas of concern. <br /> 4. The Commission works cooperatively with staff to provide information to, and solicit <br /> comments from, residents/neighborhood groups concerning Parks and Recreation <br /> issues. <br /> 5. The commission works with staff to determine strategic or critical issues for study. <br /> Y <br /> This proposed work plan is reviewed by the city council, and approved work plan <br /> items are referred to the commission for study and recommendations. <br /> Length of Term <br /> Commissioners are appointed for three year terms. A commissioner may he appointed <br /> to a maximum of three consecutive full terms. <br /> Qualifications <br /> 1® Knowledge of the overall Recreation Program and the Parks Faster Mans. <br /> 2. Interest in working to improve the overall Parks and Recreation Program. <br />
