Annually staff asks the Council for <br /> comments and directions on improvements to the Roseville Housing <br /> Programs (RHP). <br /> 1.2 This year we are reviewing the programs instigated in 1996 and 1997 <br /> with the intent of reaffirming their value within the housing program or <br /> modifying the approach to serve a different segment of the community. The <br /> current programs are listed in the attached pamphlet. <br /> 2.0 DisgUssion/D�rection <br /> Direction is sought on the following issues: <br /> 2.1 Senior market study - in order to determine the market for the various <br /> types of senior housing, the city needs to do a market study (estimated to <br /> cost $10,000 or less). Developers have looked at Roseville as a potential <br /> site for a new development but ask about the market because their financial <br /> backing depends upon a demonstrated market. In addition, this market <br /> study should also help the city understand: <br /> a) what is Roseville's capacity for senior units <br /> b)what can be done if the senior market diminishes and the <br /> senior units stand vacant, <br /> c) with staff study - what is the typical and optimum mix of <br /> 1 <br />
