housing and age groups for a vibrant first ring, mature suburb. <br /> 2.15 Staff is prepared to send out the Arona Senior Project Request for <br /> Proposals as soon as the market study is complete and the Council <br /> provides further direction. <br /> 2.2 Common Bond, a well known affordable - moderate income senior <br /> housing developer has asked for time to describe the type of project they <br /> currently do and also asked if it would be possible for Common Bond to <br /> collaborate on a Senior Housing Market Study. (See attachment) <br /> 2.3 Roseville has over 6,000 multi-family rental housing units. A portion of <br /> our goals has been to ensure that these units and their owners have <br /> incentives and financing available to keep these units is excellent shape. <br /> With this is mind, the staff has prepared a work program for 1998 which <br /> includes using Affordable Suburban Housing and Bill Schatzlien and the <br /> Center for Energy and the Environment to act as the city ombudsman to <br /> contact owners of the smaller buildings about updates and funding <br /> available through Minnesota Housing Financing. (See attachment) <br /> 2.4 Roseville's Housing Replacement Program is nearing the end of the <br /> first year, offering to buy older or non-code compliant homes voluntarily <br /> from residents, raze the structure and rebuild as a new home,, Two sites are <br /> currently being worked on by staff and Bill Schatzlien. We expect to request <br /> Council(HRA) action to acquire these sites in the next 30 to 60 days. See <br /> the attachment. <br /> 2.5 The 2nd annual House and Garden Fair will occur on February 28th. <br /> See the attached notice. <br /> This is an opportunity to announce a second round of the Rambler <br /> Redesign Program in which we had over 8{] inquiries last year. (Two of the <br /> three homes are preparing for construction this sprig.) Does the Council <br /> wish to continue this program, funding by our housing fund, with a cost not <br /> to exceed $32,000? <br /> 2.6 The Planning Commission has recommended to the City Council that <br /> 2 <br />
