EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Roseville, County of Ramsey,, Minnesota was duly held on the 12th day of January, 1998, <br /> at : o P.M. <br /> The following members were present: <br /> and the following were absent: <br /> Member i ntroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> AMENDMENT To THE ROSEVILLE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN DEVISING THE MAP <br /> OF THE EXISTING PLAN ADOPTED IN 1979 AND AS AMENDED IN 1994 <br /> WHEREAS, the i of Roseville City Council approved and adopted the 1994 <br /> City . <br /> amendments (and � endices and adoptions by reference) to the City of Roseville <br /> arx� pp <br /> Comprehensive rehensive Guide Plan, subject to review and comments of the plan by the <br /> Metropolitan Council; and <br /> WHEREAS a P ublic hearing was held on December 1 O 1997, and the Planning <br /> Commission recommended that a revision be made to the map of the Comprehensive <br /> Guide � <br /> e Plan changing i n the designation of a .54 acre parcel of land from Business to High <br /> Density Residential; and <br /> WHEREAS, a p ubiic hearing was held by the City Council on Monday, January 12,, <br /> 1998, to consider said amendment; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council made the following findings; <br /> The City's Comprehensive Plan reap designates the entire parcel located at <br /> �. tj► p <br /> 2075 Snelling Avenue forth as Business and the entire parcel located at <br /> 2096 Fry Street North as High Density Residential. <br /> 2. The City's Comprehensive Plan text does not specifically address this parcel; <br /> however, policy it is the of is of the City to discourage the encroachment of <br /> commercial uses into residential neighborhoods. The transfer of the unrest .b4 <br /> acres of the parcel to the adjacent parcel, along with the designation of the <br /> acres as high de nsi residential and the rezoning of the parcel to R3 A, <br /> will remove the commercial encroachment into a residential area. <br /> Resolution - Page I of 2 <br />
