Bidding for this project followed normal city policy <br /> and state statutes. <br /> inancing: The low bid received is from Grendahl Mechanical, Inc. in <br /> the amount of $15, 660. This low bid is approximately lot over the <br /> original estimate. The attached letter from TKDAe recommends award to <br /> Grendahl following review of -their experience and credentials. In <br /> addition to the base bid amount of $15, 660p $2,500 has been budgeted for <br /> engineering fees for this project. Therefore, the total cost to <br /> complete the radiant heat installation is $18,160. To finance this <br /> installation, the 1993 and 1994 appropriations for radiant heatin gp <br /> $1o, 000 per year, will be necessary to complete this project. <br /> Staff recommendations: staff recommends that the project bid be awarded <br /> to Grendahl Mechanical, Inca in the base bid amount of $15, 660. It is <br /> further recommended that the project be financed using the remaining <br /> 1993 .I.P. building fund and the balance of approximately $8F500 <br /> necessary to finance the project come from the 1994 Public Works <br /> building improvement fund. <br /> RECOMMENDED COUNCIL ACTION* <br /> Approval of resolution awarding bid for Project 93-23 to Grendahl <br /> Mechanical, Inc. in the base bid amount of , 15 f 660. <br />
