City Manager Job Description Page <br /> S# Continually evaluates the organization, administration, and <br /> services being rendered by the various departments of city <br /> government to determine whether results are being achieved as <br /> planned. <br /> 99 Conducts himself/herself, personally and professionally, in a <br /> manner conducive to integrity, ethics, and cooperation to <br /> enhance the City of Roseville, its departments, staff, and <br /> council. <br /> 10. Performs such other duties as may be prescribed by statute <br /> relating to Optional Plan B cities as rewired by ordinance <br /> or resolutions adopted by Council. <br /> 114 Sets up job descriptions and salary ranges on all positions. <br /> 12 . Actively pursues and promotes programs for staff improvement. <br /> 13 # Handles the functions of the city Manager position in an <br /> aggressive but diplomatic manner. <br /> 14 . Sets up an annual performance review program applicable to <br /> all City employees which evaluates them against their job <br /> descriptions. <br /> CITY MANAGER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO COUNCIL: <br /> 11 Responds in a timer manner to requests from the Council for <br /> information required by therm to render policy decisions. <br /> 2 , represents the City council, as delegated, in metropolitan <br /> and state government related activities of interest to the <br /> residents of Roseville. <br /> 3 + recommends to council for adoption appropriate measures for <br /> the welfare are of residents and the City of Roseville and the <br /> efficient administration of the affairs of the city. <br /> 4 . Provides background information and research data as a guide <br /> for the Councilfs policy making role <br /> 5. Prepares and submits to council a budget in the form and date <br /> set forth by statute; <br /> 6, Heads the administrat J.ve branch of the government, including <br /> labor relations, personnel programs, policies and procedures, <br /> and is responsible to council for the proper administration <br /> of all affairs relating to the city. <br /> 7 , Informs the Council of all important developments which inay <br /> affect the administration of city government and which they <br /> need to }snow to perform effectively as council Members. <br />
