I <br /> F <br /> f <br /> ICI <br /> November 91 1993 <br /> TO: Steve Sarkozy <br /> FROM: Steve North <br /> SUBJECT: PROPOSED SURVEY OF CIVIC CENTER SITE <br /> Background <br /> The Council has previously discussed the $300, 000 grant which has <br /> been awarded- to the City for County C pathway enhancement. The <br /> grant is to create a crossroads hub at County Road C and <br /> Lexington, on -the Civic Center site. <br /> The Council will be reviewing the plan f or the enhancement at a <br /> future meeting, The preliminary plans to date have been based on <br /> aerial photos. Before the final plans can be prepared, a survey <br /> must he completed showing accurate locations of trees, buildings, <br /> sidewalks, topography, etc, <br /> it is proposed to complete the survey before the snow falls so <br /> that the final plans may be prepared during the winter with bids <br /> for the project taken next spring <br /> Completing the survey r1ow would not bind the Council to <br /> completing the project next year or to accepting the grant. <br /> Regardless of when or exactly ghat the improvements are, an <br /> accurate survey will be required. <br /> Financial Impl icat ions <br /> A proposal for completing the survey of the area shown on the <br /> attached map, in the amount of $4, 300, has been received from RL <br /> Associates. rLI is one of the firms included in the City's <br /> consulting engineer pool. <br /> Recommendation <br /> Steve Gatlin, -Publ is Works Director, indicates the proposed price <br /> for the survey 'i' s reasonable . It is recommended that RL <br /> Associates be retained to complete a survey of a portion of the <br /> Civic Center site at a cost not to exceed $4 ,, 300,,,, <br />
