Lambert and <br /> Dr. William Do Funk <br /> S ubj : Standards for Veterinary Medicine Facilities in Roseville <br /> We are writing this letter to express our concern and the Veterinary Hospital <br /> Association's (consisting of over two hundred hospitals) concern about the tendency of <br /> Veterinarians practicing Veterinary Medicine in retail establishments, warehouses, pet <br /> shops, and the like...which we have seen in Roseville, and which we feel for reasons of <br /> public health, should be regulated by the City of Roseville. <br /> To have a more specific set of rules for Roseville and to help promote a healthy <br /> environment when and where pets are together, to keep accidental bites and injuries to a <br /> minimum, and to insure that public and animal health standards are maintained in the <br /> highest degree, we propose that the following be adopted as a Roseville City ordinance <br /> governing the facility out of which Veterinary Medicine and Services are provided to the <br /> the Citizens of Roseville. <br /> 1. The health, welfare, and safety of the client and patient must be given top priority. <br /> A. When practicing Veterinary Medicine in a facility, various conditions should exist <br /> r be provided for. These. include: hot and cold grater for cleaning and disinfecting <br /> adequate sewage disposal f aril ite s, properly treated floors and walls to make them <br /> impervious to infectious and other body secretions, air circulati <br />
