Staff Recommendation <br /> Staff recommends a cooperative arrangement with Advance circuits, Inc. <br /> for the construction of an earthen berm providing up to 50 percent of <br /> the total cost,, with the City"s share not to exceed $ for an <br /> earthen berm to a height of approximately 6 to 8 feet. It should be <br /> understood that this proposal may not full el i'm inate the problems of <br /> the industrial operation being experienced by adjoining residential <br /> property owners. Future cooperative efforts would be brought to the <br /> city Council and may include heavy landscaping, a solid wood fence, and <br /> other screening materials. <br /> It should be noted that Advance Circuits will continue to be held <br /> responsible for the. noise emanating from their plant consistent with <br /> prior City Council actionse <br /> COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br /> Motion to authorize the City to contribute up to So percent of the <br /> total cost of the installation of an earthen berm,, with the City"s <br /> total share not to exceed $15,000, with funds for this purpose to be <br /> allocated from the Tax Increment Finance account. <br /> Y <br />
