C. Wiffiam
Attorney at later
1228 Wynridge Drive
Arden Hills, MN 55112
(612)636-9983
October 15, 1993
Mayor and Council m
City of Roseville
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, MN 55113
Dear Mayor and Council:
Thank you for your cooperation in considering whether the Kings
Court racquetball and fitness operation would be a beneficial
addition to the recreation and health facilities of the City of
Roseville. I was originally contacted by Frank Rog for the pur-
pose of putting together a sales package to present the Rings
Court to prospective buyers to be used as it is currently being
operated or for conversion to another use. Dearly all the clubs
used for racquetball in this area have been converted for other
purposes,
.Upon inspection and analysis of the property, it became apparent
to me that it would be to the benefit of the entire community to
continue to 'operate this facility for recreational purposes.
Some reasons for that conclusion are*
1 . The convenient location of the facility, and the adjoining
park.
2. The urgent need for MORE recreation and health facilities
for young and old, rather than the elimination of the facil-
ity by converting it to other uses,
3. The potential to use the building for many other uses beyond
its current purposes .
Examples : Crafts for children and seniors
Expanded aerobic programs
Day care
Meeting rooms and recreation offices
prig ,-te parties
Many Tore possibilities
4. The possible expansion of the tennis courts and covering
them for year-round use not only for tennis, but for other
activities such as volleyball, basketball, indoor soccer,
touch football, band practice, bazaars for fund raisers, and
other uses to numerous to listO . This would be something for
future consideration only, of courspo but merits study
